Our Treatment
Tooth Prosthesis
If you have more than one or complete missing teeth, the dentures can restore the appearance and function of your natural teeth.
There are many denture prosthesis options available and when you come to our clinic; our dentists will help you to choose the right type of prosthesis for you. If you are looking for a plug-in solution, the dentures can be ideal for you.
It is really important to complete a missing tooth, even if it is one tooth. If it is left untreated, your chewing and speech will be affected and the extra load will fall on the teeth on the sides of the non-tooth. The missing teeth can also cause the loss of adjacent teeth over time, sagging your face and make you look older.
Total Prosthesis
It is a type of prosthesis that can be used for all tooth losses in the mouth. The teeth made of a resin material on an acrylic base that is produced in harmony with your gums are placed in your mouth at the level of your gums.
In the first place, a detailed measurement of your mouth is taken and our laboratory technician will prepare your custom prosthesis according to these measurements. Your dentist at Dentostim clinic will give you detailed information about the care of these prostheses.
Partial Prosthesis
The partial prosthesis, commonly known as hook prosthesis, can be used in case of one or more teeth deficiency and when you have teeth in your mouth.
The teeth produced are made specifically for the tooth cavities in your mouth and are intended to stand in harmony with your natural teeth. These produced teeth are fixed to your natural teeth with metal parts that increase the retention.
Sensitive Connected Prostheses (Snap-On Prosthesis – Anchored Prosthesis)
If the patient does not prefer partial prosthesis for tooth losses, the snap-on prosthesis, which is known among the public as snap-on, concealed-hooked and Anchor are applied. Recently, movable partial prostheses have become one of the most preferred methods by patients due to their advantages.
The sensitive connected prostheses are taken its support from the concealed retainers prepared for the teeth as opposed to partial (hooked) prostheses and are therefore popularly known as “snap-on prostheses” among the public. There are sensitive parts that fit into the retainers prepared for the main teeth in the snap-on prostheses. They do not move in any way when eating in function compared to the partial (hooked) prostheses and provide a more aesthetic appearance since there are no hooks.
One of the major advantages of this type of prosthesis is that it does not move due to its support from the sensitive connections. This situation provides the patient not to have trouble and feel more comfortable while eating and talking.
Moreover, it is quite aesthetically pleasing since there is no hook-like in the partial prostheses. Thus, it is preferred more in terms of aesthetics and function than the other movable prostheses.
The implant-supported prostheses are a more accurate solution in patients with complete or partial tooth loss compared to other types of prostheses. It uses the implants as support to increase prosthesis retention.
The implant provides you to use your dentures safely by acting a fixed and permanent anchor. The implant-supported prostheses have many advantages rather than the removable prostheses;
- It perfectly fits into your gums
- It provides more comfortable use
- Feeling and appearance are closer to the natural teeth
- Biting and chewing function are much easier
- The implants support to the bone formation
It may take some time to get used to your prostheses, but the prostheses produced today are much more comfortable and close to reality than previously known prostheses.
You need to look at your dental prostheses in the same way that you look at your natural teeth. The plaque formation may also be experienced in the dental prostheses as well as in the natural tooth and may invite gum diseases.
We recommend that the patients using total prosthesis should brush them in detail by removing their prostheses. Before sleep, it is required to be shaken with prosthesis cleaner and kept in water.
Do not forget to keep the inside of your mouth clean by gently brushing your gums and tongue.
